Stomach University: GI Health
May 26, 2022Welcome to the Stomach University Master Class
It's not just us saying it. Here is a patient success story: Anderson Wingard
He was having severe stomach issues. His medical doctors wanted to remove his gallbladder. Instead, he came to the West Clinic and learned how to heal his stomach and live a healthier life. He was given the building blocks his body needed to heal and did the work to change his diet and lifestyle.
The treatments used were:
- Vitamin Infusion
- Supplement program
- Diet and healthy eating
Now he’s feeling better and is going on a maintenance plan.
The goal is to make it so that people don’t need us.
Anderson learned from the clinic how to take care of himself so that he can be healthy and stay healthy.
You are what you eat and you are what you absorb
Putting building blocks in the system helps you get better.
How can we balance the stomach?
Here’s the overview of the Stomach University
If your gut is not absorbing nutrients you cannot be healthy. 80% of healthcare conditions stem from gastrointestinal issues
Recognize that your body is creating the wrong acid, not too much acid.
Migraine headaches- blood sugar, not absorbing minerals
Stimulants: You need sugar or caffeine because you’re not able to concentrate, fatigue, dizziness,
Apple cider vinegar: speeds up digestion, and helps break food down. Putting “acid” in your stomach will not make it worse. When the food just sits in your stomach and does not digest it comes up instead of going down and causes acid reflux- speeding up the digestion.
1 Tablespoon of apple cider vinegar in 1/2 cup of water after meals.
25% of the time, it may irritate. If that happens we can use minerals to calm down the sympathetic nervous system.
If you don’t like apple cider vinegar use a full spectrum digestive enzyme that breaks down carbohydrates, proteins, and fats. (Zypan)
Too much acid:
ADEK (fat-soluble vitamins) heal and soothe irritated GI tissue
Healthy fiber (celery) gastrofiber
Phosphorus Mineral: Phosfood liquid- down-regulate vagus nerve.
Inadequate digestion causes stomach problems
Loose bowels: very common condition, loose watery stools can be caused by bacteria or viruses, severe stress patterns, poor digestion, food sensitivities, or allergies.
What to do: Acupuncture and energy medicine, balance energy, fiber (gastrofiber) digestive enzymes, immune system (echinacea and Lomatium)
Slow Bowels/Constipation: hard stools longer than 3 days, bloating, a risk factor for hemorrhoids, dehydration,
What to do: Increase water intake, use digestive enzymes or apple cider vinegar, bile salts (help break down and emulsify fats) if you don’t have a gallbladder you may struggle to break down fats even more.
Gastroenteritis: short term illness, diarrhea, and vomiting. Can be caused by viruses, bacteria, chemicals, and parasites.
What to do for an irritated stomach:
Chlorophyll: Fat-soluble ADEK
Choline: calms down irritated stomach, helps with nausea
Immune System Support: liposomal vitamin C, thymus, and spleen support.
Ulcers: infection of the stomach lining,
Essential fatty acids
Immune system support
Chlorophyll
Protemorphogen Therapy
Hemorrhoids & varicose veins: 3 out of 4 people have them
Increase water intake, and give the body pancreas, liver, and gallbladder support. Take stress off the circulatory system
Rutin factor and bioflavonoids help strengthen the blood vessels: Stone Root or vitamin P (Collansonia Root)
A program on Food Sensitivities and Food Allergies is coming soon!
